any 911S's without factory sport seats?

so, does anyone know of any 1969 or so 911s' that did not have factory sport seats.

my understanding is/was that the sport seats were standard equipment on the S cars, maybe it was possible to down-grade, but I can't imagine.

    help.

    thanks

    Hello

My 911S (72) was delivered without sport seats just blue houndtooth seats.

    early sports

Sport seats were optional on all years and models. Never standard.

I asked almost the same question on the Pelican site a few months back regarding my 71 S. The answer I got was that the sports seats were a standard item only on the 1971 S's. All other S years had the sports seats as an option that cost about $80.

"The 1970-to-1971 2.2-liter S with mechanical fuel injection is the absolute top choice. These 2.2 S engines are short-stroke, high-compression powerhouses without substantial emissions-control clutter, and they have a powerband with gobs of high-rpm torque. With their mechanical fuel injection still intact, they make a spine-tingling shriek as they shoot to redline."

My 70S was delivered with standard seats.

I've read the same thing about sports being standard in 71. My PO had the sense to get 72 sports put into my car so I am a very happy guy. I'm workin on replacing them with proper 70/71 sports

Actually, the cost was dramatically higher and kind of out of scale for the cost of the car at that time. I heard the option was closer to $800 more.

That's my understanding as well. Sports seats were standard on the '71 S models, but optional in the other years. My '72 was built with standard seats...I sold them when I bought it's current seats from a "close-out" ad in PANO by Stoddard's. I thought I was pretty fortunate, they being a pefect material & color match...beige leather.

Sport seats were an incredibly cheap option...in 1968 they were $45.00 for both seats.

I can't imagine why anyone would have opted for not taking that option in '68 (like my original owner )

My '68S came with leather seats, but NO SPORT SEATS

back in 1968 my parents house payment was $95.00 a month, so even though $45.00 dollars doesn't sound like a lot of money today at one time it was....
