Otto Siffert...ring a bell? Found old business card in smuggler's box...

Bought my car off a consignment lot over ten years ago and never really cared about the history of it. I know I should care. I don't why I don't care. I'm fairly certain I'm an apathetic sociopath.

However, I did find this business card at the bottom of the smuggler's when I pulled the blower during the front trunk restoration. I completely forgot about it but re-found it and now maybe I'll start poking around.

Does anyone know of an OTTO SIFFERT from Reseda?

Well to say that "Siffert" makes up part of the history of the car wouldn't be a lie. That's gotta be a 10% mark-up on the sale price.

Another interesting recent event is that we took our daily driver in for service using my car to drop-off/pick-up the car. The service lady saw my car and while writing up the job ticket mentioned her brother use to work for one of the independent shops which makes up some of the previous owner's docs. I may ask to speak to her brother when the DD needs service again.

I've always been curious about the LWB flares on my car and the gear-box which was AFIOS.

Finding old match books, pens and receipts in cars is a lot of fun. My '71 S had all three from Lexinton KY. The pens were from a girls college and the match books were from a tittie bar.

Oh, the receipts, well I won't tell......

OK, they were from a repair shop.
