    OK, so maybe not the absolute first car Porsche built, but it is the first of cars we are familiar with.

    This is a recently built replica of the original Type 64 body, built by/for Porsche for the new museum. The original Type 64 car is in another German museum, which concentrates on prototypes. Porsche conveniently forgot to mention this little detail in their recent press releases.

    Wink Prototyp Museum in Hamburg

    Here is the original one at the Prototyp Museum, a wonderful place (if you are in Hamburg, it's a must) with lots of memorabilia and rare Porsche cars:
