(Opinion) Bahama Yellow VS. Signal Yellow

    Hello All,
I finally got my COA from Porsche, and it lists the official color of my 69S as Bahama Yellow. The COA color code matches the color code on the placard in the driver's door, good start. However, I've always been told that this color is Signal Yellow from the Old Man and his beer around the campfire Porsche buddies.
So, how close are these colors to each other? I'm getting concerned that this car might have been painted at some point in the past before the Old Man got it in 87.
Does anyone have a Bahama Yellow car and a Signal Yellow car with photos that I can compare mine to? Also, can I get a consensus from the group? What color do you think this car is if you are familiar with the color codes.
Thanks a lot for the help, sorry about all the shadows. Tried to find a consistently lit pic, hope these help.
    Scott

The BY has a bit more brown to my eye and not a bright/as much pop.

Wow, the consensus seems to be overwhelmingly Bahama Yellow. That's a relief, considering I've heard Signal Yellow since day one. Thanks for the comparison pics so I could see what the real signal Yellow and Orange colors look like. Subtle contrasts, but the Signal colors do really pop out at you. Those are some really nice pics of some beautiful cars.
Yeah, I got those tires fixed up, those pics were pre restoration It's really cleaned up since being buried in a shop for 2 years. Thanks for the input guys, I really appreciate it and learned my one thing for the day.

Dave, the color code is 6805 which both the COA and the Red Book list as Bahama Yellow. I was also glad to see that the engine number matches the COA as well. When I sent you the engine serial number, you said that it was a really new number for the era. I was glad to verify that it is the originally mated engine. That engine number is 6392050, BTW. Not sure If I sent you the Trans# but it is 7198846. It is a late '69S, #1438 and rolled off the line 7/17/1969. It is really cool to see all this info.

I saw that one 69 in an article in European Car or Excellence or something like that about a year ago. That is a really nice hot rod of a machine.
