I can't verify that the Bosch part number matches the one in Mark Erbesfield's photo.

Could you measure the width? The two different horns shown above in my pic are very different with regards to size. That will help narrow it a little. Also, I would guess that a little lacquer thinner on a rag would remove some of the tar undercoating from the tag and make it clearer to read. Any bug and tar remover should do the same thing.

Mark, I'm sorry but I'm really stiff and sore. It was painful getting onto the creeper to attempt some iPhone photos. Actually getting under the car to stuff my fingers in there would kill me.

    reviving an old thread...

first off... my original owner '66 912 came w/ type B... or one of them did. the other is MIA.
second; these (attached) turned up in the catacombs (AKA the attic) but don't have the same numbers as listed by Bosch
    (post #3 above)
even though at least one [0 320 202 006] indicates the same tone; 345Hz. (I haven't been able to pull specs on the '007' unit yet)
    any input here is appreciated.
...and if there is another thread detailing the history of these early units please point that out.
    TIA
