Pictures & suppliers of engine bay decals?

    Hi,

I'm looking to purchase a set of the correct engine bay decals (rear support and fan/alternator strap) for a '71S. I tried using the search feature, but it gets a bit confusing cross referencing images with products on Pelican and Sierra's website. Plus I've seen some references to incorrect 'black-border' decals. (not sure if this applies to '71)

Has anyone replaced all of their stickers recently and do they remember the part numbers/supplier for them? I'm not trying to short-cut the legwork, just hoping someone has already done this recently and can help me avoid making a mistake.

    Thanks,
    -Mike

Is it me or are those by Classic look more copper colored than the factory gold?

    Stoddards.
Got my decals from them when I did my renovation several years ago.
They were very helpful and even got a NLA decal for me.
Good service not expensive and accurate.

Nice post by Cam Arnott. That was a neat site. Is it pretty much agreed that there are no correct engine lid decals left?

I just bought this set of engine stickers for my '70T from Jeff Clark at Sunset Porsche. The shade of gold is not consistent across the stickers. I haven't checked the stickers I pulled off the car before sending it out for paint, but I don't recall such variation. If the part numbers aren't legible in this picture, I can post individual pics.

    decals

I am watching this thread as i need complete set for 71e. Those do not look look like the ones taken off with light to dark gold.

Ok, I dug up a pic of the (original?) stickers from my 911T. Though the picture is fuzzy, it shows that the shade of gold on the foil stickers differed across the stickers. When I compare them to the new stickers I got from Porsche, they seem to match up with each other pretty well. I will find the ones I pulled off of the car and compare them directly against the new stickers. Of course, it is possible that the ones on the car were replacements.
