John really looked great out on the track. He said he had alot of fun.

His car sounded great and looked fast through the tight curves where others were not as brave as him. He mentioned using trailing-throttle oversteer to rotate the car in the left-right S off the 130mph banking!

Will this event be back next year? I see POC has moved the Tribute to LeMans to Fontana Speedway this June 4-6. I like Willow Springs better for driving. Fontana is good watching.

Of course, I still need to get my car's running gear work done so I can feel the proper early 911S racecar handling around the twists and turns of the Streets.

willow is much better for spectating Tribute. Always has been. Fontucky is good for facilities, lots of garage space, lots of pit wall space. When i admin-ed the race a few years back , i did it from the control tower above start finish. Arguably the best seat in the house, but only 10 people had that luck.
You can be in the shade above pit road, and that has its cool factor watching teams work below, but there are not that many pit stops.

Agreed. I will be at the May 1 POC racing/time trial weekend. Those events are always fun. Cool cars driving around the nice terrain of road course curves.
