    Correct Early Koni Decals

Figured I would put this in the for sale section.

I just finished my Koni decal project! I had the decals silk screened by a shop that specializes in water transfer decal printing. The decal has all of the details of the original 60's version. Most notably the crown with rounded ends and the curved lower portion of the shield.

Cost is $12 for a set or $6 for a single decal.
Free shipping within USA. Will be happy to ship overseas with shipping charges.

Please send me a PM or email brad@nextmill.net

    Thanks!

    Brad

    Thanks Alex.

I know that they were used on 356 struts and on 911 struts through 1968 as on my 68' 911. I think sometime in the mid 70's Koni went to their upside down triangle logo. The picture I posted is on a 356 strut. These threads show 911 struts with the same logo as well.

This is the best photo from the first thread. Thanks to Tom Butler for the picture.

While restoring my shocks (KONI) and painting them I informed with the KONI dealer/manufacturer here in The Netherlands for which sticker to use and if they had any.
I got the answer that I should use the triangle version with the shock on it that has round ends... for a 65 build, 66 model year.

Just wanted to share.... not to hijack your sales thread... (sorry)

I must have an overview about the development of the sticker over the years somewhere... will look it up

    EDIT, found it;

    50's and early 60's

    Mid 60's till early 70's

    early 70's till 2007!

    Hi Semjon,

I am not sure if Koni got the timeline correct. This thread shows a '68 and a '65 date coded swb nos strut with the winged logo.

1970 Porsche 914-6 GT Factory Option and Original Koni Dual Adjustable Rear Shocks

Okay Brad, here you go! I need some too, as spares, just in case.

FYI... Here is a photo of the very first pair of factory original 914-6 GT Koni Rear Racing Shocks I purchased many years ago.

914-6 GT Koni Rear Racing Shocks - Photo 01.jpg

The Koni shocks were removed from a Dealer-built 914-6 GT race car which was built by a German Porsche dealer during 1970, possibly 1971.
These 914-6 GT Koni rear shocks, without question, are originals as can be and have a stamped date code of 8 72 never restored.

Note the original decals and its placement within the shock. Often times these decals are placed
higher up the shock after a restoration and not in their original factory applied and correct location.

The reason I'm including all of the details here is to show you Koni did continue to use your decals well into the early 70s'.

...here is one more photo of the same shocks, but after the TrueChoice restoration. Maybe you should contact TrueChoice about your decals. lol

BTW, I do have to stop by your office sometime, maybe I can pick up a few decal sets while I'm there. Great job!

    THX!!!!
