    Question Will a 356 steering damper work on early 911?

    Hi,

    Anyone know if the 356 steering damper will replace the early 911 steering damper?

    My 911 is 302694 MY66 built in 65 so still pretty early. I would like to replace this as I freshen up the suspension.

    part# 695-347-501-10; Koni steering damper. Currently supplied painted black as pictured. Fits 356A, 356B, 356C.

    They are NLA. I don't even plan to use one for street driving. For show purposes an original can be put back in place but you sure don't want an original to freeze up. . .

    My car still has the original one and it seems fine...why would one freeze upM Wouldn't a failure typically just end up being loss of damping?
