'. . . This 1984 Audi Ur-Quattro was originally from California and now shows 194,046 miles. The car was moved to Nevada in 2011 for modification and was purchased in a disassembled state by the seller in 2014. It was then relocated to Canada for refurbishment back to 1984 specs in order to meet inspection requirements. The 2.1L 10VT WX engine was rebuilt during this time and reinstalled along with the factory 5-speed manual transmission. 5k miles have been added since, and the seller has continued to address cosmetic items as detailed below. Believed to be one of only 65 US-spec cars sold within the US in 1984, the car is finished in Tornado Red over a Black interior. The seller states he has collected and rallied other Audi Ur-Quattros, and this example is sold with a clean British Columbia title.
The seller states that no evidence of overspray or collision damage is evident, though it should be noted that the paint has usual chips from road use and that the door decals are fading. Improvements using Audi parts have been completed over the past three years, and correct door decals and trunk decals will be added before shipping to buyer. Pin striping can also be added before shipping if requested.
In 2017, the seller started a complete cosmetic overhaul, replacing door seals as needed, cleaning the engine bay, cleaning all fluid reservoirs, and performing a detailed cleaning of the interior. Factory Ronal R8 16-spoke wheels are finished in the correct Y7Y Zermatt Silver Metallic color and wear 225/50R15 Proxima tires installed 5k miles ago. The seller states that the car has not been driven in winter during his ownership.
The seats and other leather parts were reportedly refurbished in 2017 and show some wear on the outer bolsters. Door panels are correct and display minor wear, and a new carpet was installed this year. A 1983 shift knob is currently installed, though the seller notes it will be replaced with a 1984 item.
Cars built in 1984 included a restyled dash that was specific to this model year, and the A/C switch next to the sliding controls is present. The 194,046 miles shown are believed to be accurate for the chassis. The radio is currently non-functional but is connected to the period-correct Fuba antenna.
The 2.1L 10VT WX engine was rebuilt in 2014, and the timing belt, hoses, seals, belts, suspension, fuses, and electrical system items were replaced with correct items at the time. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 5-speed manual transmission, and the seller notes that the car has run well for the 5k miles added since the 2014 refurbishment. In May 2017, a service was performed that included all fluids being replaced, hoses checked and replaced as necessary, and an electrical systems inspection.
Multiple underbody images are included in the gallery below. Some components showing surface corrosion have reportedly been replaced since the photos were taken . . .'
