Thread: Something wrong with email notifications

Exclamation Something wrong with email notifications

I thought I was the only one, but I have confirmed with others:

We are only getting about a third of the thread notifications we should be getting.

This is probably related to the SMTP job that sends out notifications or some other under-the-covers mail server issue. A quick peek into the even log should be able to ferret it out.

Regardless, people are missing updates, PMs and most importantly, responses to "For Sale" threads. It is getting very annoying.

Can someone shake the support tree with the Hoster and figure out what's up?

    Thanks, bud.

You can also let him know it isn't the result of end client spam filtering. I already tried several different email addresses (one, a corporate Exchange account w/ massive spam filtration, as well as Gmail and Hotmail) to see if that solved it and...it didn't.

The emails just never show up.

Any news about the cause of this issue? I have noticed this for at least a year but just figured something was wrong on my end. I tried re-subscribing and making sure "instant notification" was checked but no progress. The weird thing is how the threads that do not send emails one day will send them the next and threads that do send will stop.

The notifications are still not working correctly, unfortunately the problem seems to be somewhat random. I was trying to zone in on a pattern and could not find rhyme or reason to it.

I'll confirm. I am getting about 1 in 10 Notifications.
