removed A/C - have a hole in the bulkhead under dash

my 73 911 Targa came to me with A/C.

I took it out and have been living with a large hole in the front bulkhead (under the dash) that lets in outside air.

Is there a factory plug of some sort that will close this off?

I have gone through my parts book and don't see anything obvious.

Also if there has been a previous thread I apologize - this is a tough one to search for.

    plug

buy the factory sheet metal for the area where the hole is, or cut the area out of a junked car.

I will check out our local dismantler (Car Quip) and see if there's help there.

If outside air is coming in, you might first want to check whether there are any opening in the inner wheel housings. Typically, the dealer would hole saw or air chisel away sections of the inner wheel housing on the passenger side to let in the coolant hoses.

Air could be coming from several points but shouldn't be there. Look around and nip it at its source. Re the hole, I faced the same issue; my local shop just welded in a piece of steel and painted it. No need for something original or fancy unless you're seriously into originality.
