    Irish Green PPG

Does anyone have a current formula for Irish Green (6606) for the PPG line?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

    Hi John,

    This may help.

Put the code into the first box.

My local paint house has an old book with all of the Porsche mixes for PPG, even had Togo Brown. Admittedly, their Togo didn't quite match my original panels, so opted for a rigorous color match. Want me to get a copy for you?

    Kenik-
That might be somethig worth posting for more general use. I'm in need of matching Burgundy myself, which I know from experience is a tough color to match. My local paint store (there are only 2 for automotive stuff) didn't have any information about colors from 1970.

Irish Green is a tough one. TCPglobal.com has a listing for Irish Green in PPG.
We get the paint then tint if needed. (You had to when they were new with the factory pack...)They have been surprisingly close in the past. Also their own brand acts more like the "old" paint. At a huge savings.
    Hope this helps..

PPG's DAR line of single stage paint really does look and feel like Glasurit. It is tough, takes a stellar gloss and has great depth. This is what I am using on the Togo Brown car.

I had to stop by the local paint house today, had them look up the formulas for PPG DAR single stage, PPGs 2 stage and Glasurit in Irish Green for comparison. Hope this helps!

My pleasure - we gotta stick together.

As far as my '66, I have been living a two year nightmare getting Solexes. I have manifoldsof mounds of miscellanous bits: aibox parts, a NOS rebuild kit and NOS Pierburg fuel pump diaphragms...but no carbs or linkages. Every set I have bought, I've returned because they are junk and would require stupid labor to rebuild

    So...keep your eyeballs peeled!

BTW, the manifold coating question seems to have been solved by you. What's it cost to execute a recoat?
