    NE Mille May 20-23

An anonymous motley crew is planning a three day 1000 mile drive starting in Newburgh, NY. We will meet Thursday night (May 20) and leave bright and early Friday morning. The route will wind through the Catskill Mountains to the Adirondacks and an overnight near Lake Placid, NY. Saturday we will cross Lake Champlain into Vermont, the Green Mountains and some of Vermont's best roads before heading to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. The overnight stop will be near Franconia Notch. Sunday's drive will take us through Crawford Notch, Mt. Washington, the Kangamagus Highway and some off the beaten track roads through the mountains. We will end up at I-93 midstate, early afternoon, and everyone can head home from there.

The route will be on interesting two lane roads.

This is intended to be a spirited drive, but those wishing for a slower pace can meet the group at the end of the day at the overnight stops. Anyone is welcome to join the drive at any point along the way, and everyone is on their own to drive at a pace that is comfortable to them. This is the weekend before Memorial Day, so we should beat the tourist traffic.

    More details to follow.....

Just what we always wanted ... thanks guys. An East Coast run, over the course of a few days. Members from different areas can join up for one day or 2 or 3, as they wish. Cool. I'm game.

Will I have to fill out a waiver? No? Good.
Put me down for two nights and I'd like a room close to the vending machines please.
