Well guys, last minute snafus. Called Karl while I was getting new rear tires installed last night. I am having carb issues in the low speed circuit that have been an off again on again pain in my a$$. Runs beautiful for a while, then runs like crap, then good again. I think I have a hair of play in the shafts that may be causing the problem and needed to take an extra 1/2 day to try and diagnose. Cleaned idle jets, checked bowls, and changed to hotter plugs. Hope that works. I have recently gone through everything else ignition and fuel system related. All OK.
I am shooting for leaving this afternoon and a late night blast about half way. Then an O'dark thirty departure to meet you for lunch (I hope). Jim gave me the exact routing, so hope to meet you on the road. Wish me luck.

Geez, good luck Scott. You're desperate to get that long distance award, ehh?
Keep us posted how you're making out.

Desperate? Naw, just looking forward to meeting everyone and enjoying some great roads. If you hear a loud popping, sputtering boxer six running on four cylinders, slow down and let me catch up.

Hotter plugs did the trick! Car's running great so far, but the new tires make it feel like a SWB om 165s. Stuck in wonderful construction traffic now.
