Weber setting for a 2.2S Motor

Sorry but this is a multi-part question.

What is thinking around jetting a 2.2S motor with 40mm Webers ?

This is a "stock" spec 2.2 S motor ( minus MFI w/ headers ) . Typical altitude will be 1000ft. Gas will be pump, east coast.

are there other complimentary components the forum members have found to work well on a 2.2 motor with carbs ? example dosing gas ? ( mix race gas ? mix MMT in etc) spark plugs etc etc

    Thanks

    George,

You should be OK on 93 octane pump gas; I would NOT add any octane boosters to the fuel due to unintended consequences.

For jetting, I would start with:

    34mm venturies
    140-145 main jets
    180 air correctors
    F3 emulsion tubes
    50-55 idles

Make sure you have 3.5 psi of regulated fuel pressure and the float levels are perfect.

    Thanks Steve -

I assumed I need a bit more than the OEM 2.0 liter S set up. Is a 34mm choke the last step before 46's ? ( the ROT for DCOE's is/was 1.25xChoke tells you when to step up in barrel size)

Do you have a plug wire combo ( The Twinks like the NGK/Magnacore) ?

Steve's numbers look to be right on. I have a similar motor (2.4S with 2.2 P&C's) and Bruce at Klubsport set them up w/ 34mm venturies, F3 Emulsion tubes, 185 correctors, 150 mains, and 50 idles.
