    Thought I would provide an update...

    The car was back on the road yesterday. Shifts great, all ratios appear to be correct , and what a relief to have a quiet gear box. The shop that rebuilt the transmission turned it around in less than 24 hours and paid for the extra engine/transmission R&R. Straight up guy.

    Maybe I'm biased, I spent years "hands on" in workshops. Mistakes happen, they shouldn't, but we're all human.

    Main thing is the shop sorted the problem without drama.
