My .02, you'll need the 911 contact pin for the horn as the 914 pin is too long.
    There... I "helped"

    Hi Nate,

My Dad was a career pilot from 1949-1975 after graduating from the Naval Academy (where I also attended). Started in multi-engine props and was in the first hurricane hunter squadron in 1951. Transitioned to jets in the late 50s and flew all versions of the A-4 (was CO of an A-4 (VA-216) squadron from 1967-69). Also flew A-7, F-8 and a few others. My Dad's wingman in VA-144 (Everett Alvarez) was the first aviator shot down and captured in Viet Nam in 1964. After his CO tour w/ VA-216, he became Air Boss on the Hancock (CVA-19) in 1969 (flying missions into Viet Nam). Retired as the CO of NAF China Lake in 1975.

That's history! I'm familiar with it all. I've been a naval aviator for the past 18yrs. Missed flying the A-4 in Kingsville by a couple of years. Would have loved to have flown it.

Thanks for sharing what your dad did. Welcome.

    Hi again Nate,

My USNA classmates (1983) have mostly retired but we have a few Capts left (one just took command of the Enterprise) and a couple have made it RADM. Another of my classmates (Willy McCoy) was the pilot of the shuttle that exploded in Feb 03 (we were both Aero Engr majors).

Glad to be of some help on this board. Usually, I am the one seeking help. I like to share what I learned like many here have done for me already. Good luck in finding the right wheel. Mine is a 914-6 wheel, part number: 914.347.806.10. Not for sale though, sorry. Expect to pay $300+ for one that needs refinishing. I have seen some with hockey pucks and leather rewrap go for $700+. The hockey pucks are expensive, but you can find repros on these though.
