Per CA DMV, commercial motor vehicles are not "automobiles" and must have a declared gross vehicle weight (GVW) or combined gross vehicle weight (CGW) of 10,001 lbs. or more. Your registration notes commercial vehicle use with a code.
Also, the correct automobile plate sequence of 000AAA does not equal the commercial plate sequence of 00000A.
The law was extended 3 years for commercial vehicles and pickup trucks but not for automobiles.

Please tell me this car is now sold!? A couple of miles away a 2.2S sold for usd 115.000 at Gooding's auction last week....
There isn't much more you could ask for with this car, except maybe houndstooth seat inserts. Beautiful car...
The plate on that RS is oddly a 1970 plate. The car being a 73 could not have had that plate originally. Either the plate is for looks or the car is a 70 RS Tribute with it's original plate.
Yikes. From the catalog . . .
CHASSIS NO. 9110300163
ENGINE NO. 6300254
Presented here is a superior example of one of Porsche’s finest road-going cars, the 2.2S. An original US delivery car, the 911’s first owner collected his new sports car in 1970. Finished in Signal Orange, a “safety color” that Porsche popularized, over a black interior, this is a remarkably well-optioned S Coupe complete with a factory sunroof, electric windows, a Blaupunkt radio and air-conditioning.
The car’s second owner, Frank Rojas of Park Ridge, Illinois, kept detailed receipts of all service and maintenance performed on the car until he moved to Washington in the early 1990s. The next owners were Dane and Jackie Armstrong of Friday Harbor, Washington, who were equally conscientious with their prized Porsche. According to a number of service receipts that accompany the car, it was always lovingly maintained and consistently serviced.
The current caretaker of this 911 ensured that the car received the same level of care and attention that it had received from new. In 2008, the 911 was entrusted to Vantage Motors Inc. in Stamford, Connecticut, where it received fresh Michelin XWX tires, a new A/C compressor, freshly upholstered basket weave sports seats and carpets, as well as a comprehensive service and safety check, amounting to $17,000 in refurbishment costs.
A lovely example throughout, this 911 possesses solid bodywork, straight, consistent panel gaps and is reported to have no rust issues, making it a rarity in the world of early Porsches. It has a proper stance, factory correct details and a tidy engine bay, and remains very clean and presentable inside and out. At the time of cataloguing, the odometer displayed less than 80,000 miles, a figure that is believed to be original given the overall condition and excellent performance of the car.
This fabulous car is offered with an original Porsche brochure, a tool roll and jack, the original maintenance book, owner’s manual and paperwork, a thick stack of service receipts and previous registration paperwork – even a photo of the 911 upon its delivery in 1970.
The early 911S models, built between 1967 and 1973, are quickly becoming one of the most sought-after collector cars of the era thanks to their rarely equaled combination of quality, scarcity, performance and usability. This well-kept 2.2S benefits from three long-term owners who never abused or neglected this rare and exciting Porsche, allowing its next owner to drive, show and enjoy one of Stuttgart’s greatest.
Wrong head-lights (for 'US delivery'), wrong front bumper. Some kind of oval badging on both lower front quarters. Clean interior --- NOT concours. No mention of a CoA.
Makes the silver car look like deal.
So much for double-dip . . .
