As Long As You Don't Get Caught...

Some of you may not agree with any negative ramblings and that is fine. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything.
If the world were perfect there would be no need for a Doubting Thomas.
I expect anyone selling something on this board to be better than the "next guy".

    Now to the "stuff":

One of our NEWEST MEMBERS "6911S" has been caught advertising cars he didn't own. I've gotten it 1st hand from one member.
If you have a pulse and can write a check I suppose anyone is welcome.

    Here's the latest from Pelican:

I'd suggest taking a look at the site in case one of your cars shows up here.

I was following that very, very strange thread. Gotta admit I got a bit confused when that German site popped up and some of the info on it had already been posted as responses in the thread. Something going on there did not appear to be completely honest. That coming from an outsider looking in.

That thread was all quite strange, indeed, not to mention brutal from the point of view of his spelling and grammar.

If it's true, then it doesn't surprise me. Earlier this year when I was selling my 2.4S, a guy came to look at the car, took several bad photos of it, then went home and posted it for sale in the Internet.

It's a jungle out there and sometimes the snakes slither into our registry; the good news is they often get caught and move on.

It's nobody's business what cars I own. I will tell you one thing though, they're air cooled and I beat 'em like they owe me money.

I wonder if this is a "flipper thing", scout out a car, line up a buyer, then buy the car at a profit.

What is sometimes spoken as "irrefutable" can later be found to be heresay. I know nothing of the parties herein, but would offer the thought that at this point it seems a bit premature for a conviction.

BTW: I talked to another seller who had no idea his car appeared on the website. He asked how somebody did that? Easy. The guy advertises it; gets cash up front from the overseas buyer (with a jacked up price) and then acquires the car or cars.

I believe this one is legit because the seller here had business dealings with "Steve".
