Thread: Roger Grago Benefit Brunch

  1. #11
I'll throw in a subscription for Classic Porsche magazine...

Roger's been a friend for years, and a fellow club member of Der Kleiner Panzers. Just let me know who wins the sub, send me his/her name and address and I'll take care of it. OK?

    Ray,
I can't make it as I hoped. I would like to donate for the auction a Fuchs wheel restoration for a set of 4. Up to 1200 value.

I'll pick out a vintage steering wheel from my stash to donate. I also have a spare owners manual for a 1973 911 T/E/S that I'll donate if I can find it by tomorrow .

The auction sounds like it has some great stuff. Exactly the idea I was going to mention although it seems everyone had the same idea.

Pity it cant be webcast so international members can place bids. Maybe phone bids ?

Any idea what time the auction will start for those of us too far away to be there ?

Would be nice to see some pics of items being donated place on this thread if there is time left to do it ??

Over the next several weeks and months we could all post our donated items here on the SReg web site and just have the proceeds go directly to Roger. That might be a way to expand the donation base and exposure to many, many buyers.

I think we raised over $10k just on Sat!!! It was great. Most of the silent auction items will be listed here on the Early S registry site so everyone will be able to bid. We will have an end time (say a week) and at the end of the week, the highest bid will get the item. Shipping costs are being covered by Mike Sofka. I'm just waiting to get Chuck's ok to start listing the items.

    Thanks.
