technical question on rs front bumper

hey guys i have some parts from an old project that i dug out and after looking it over i find it is a strange manufacturing process, apears to have a metal inner skin with fiberglass over the top. it has oe looking bumper brackets. if anyone has a pic of an original one or know who made this one let me know. i had this over on pelican and got no response so thought i try over here. i know the bumper is atleast 25 years old as its been sitting in a shed that long.

    cheers ed

    RS front bumper

I would say it is original, especially with the small metal reinforcement on the bottom. Surprised that no one has asked in public to buy it from you. What price you have in mind?

i really wasnt looking at selling it,just wanted to know who made it. i havent been able to find any pics of a real rs bumper so i couldnt be sure. the same car that had this bumper also had a set of date matched 7" rs wheels that im sending out to harvey at some point to have restored. is there anyway to get a pick of a known og rs bumper from the back side?

    RS bumper

Sorry Ed, can't help you with that. The original front bumper on my cars is long gone. There is another member here that tried to sell a genuine front bumper, rear bumper corners with trim and a ducktail http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...ad.php?t=36460. Maybe he can shoot you some pictures. Nice find btw...the bumper needs some work but that won't be too difficult.
