    Definitive thread on automatic antennas?

I've been searching the board for information on automatic antennas for the early 911s, and even though I have found good information, I still have not found the definitive answer as to what they should look like.

This old thread has good information http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...hlight=antenna but it is far from conclusive.

It tells you real well how and where to install it, and suggests different antennas, but no conclusion is reached.

I'm sure that the collective wisdom of this board can help me establish what the automatic antenna my car left the factory with looked like. I have a 68 BTW, but it seems that this answer could apply to all early 911s

    Thanks
    Henry

I have this Bosch antenna early 70s vintage, aftermarket[?] for 911 and 914. I have developed a Bedouin like fascination with Bosch blue tip antennae.

    Definitive thread on automatic antennas?

The first edition factory shop manual shows several pictures of installation on pg.TRA 31. PM me your e-mail and I'll send you copies. I'm leaving tomorrow for RITV so won't be able to send until middle of next week.

Thanks for The instructions. I'm fine with where it goes (my car came with one from the factory so the location is quite clear). My question has more to do with what the antenna looks like

Any pictures/details/insights into your power-antenna install?

I'm especially interested in any hardware to do w/ locating/fixing the antenna motor's casing inside the wheel well --- the way it's shown in the Faktory illustrations, above
