    Tribute to LeMans: 2011 POC Race

    Lots of photos, some of them are even in focus. I was doing some experimenting with exposure compensation, aperture, and manual focus because the automatic mode was just not getting it done with the lighting conditions and fast moving cars approaching me around the turn.

    Sorry that all the photos are from the same curve. I was going to move on the next lap- really. Then my Dad got hungry and the snack stand was closed so we went through the paddock and he got some local McDs, then I said why not come back? Still a half hour left. By then the lighting was great at that turn. Plus, watching cars go by in a straight line is boring- we saw lots of locking up and spins here, and we did not have to walk far only to be told to move away for my safety. We also got a table and restrooms right there. Pretty sweet digs.

    Dave Bouzaglou reported the turn was terribly greasy, and I could see he was taking the wide line, which maybe 1/4 of the drivers were. The others were locking up and spinning trying to take the tight line. Dave did take the inside when passing, of course.

    Somehow I think four tires on the road might help with traction. Just look at all the wheels lifting!
