Yeah --- but . . .
. . . ya couldn't make one that nice for that . . . $14k
All these Old School Pop-Tops are fun-as-hell --- Junior had one = just like this. From the pics, this one looks like a Real Peach, too --- w/ Toyota reliability/utility/ease-of-repair, to boot
Not exactly the best color, maybe, but . . .
. . . somebody scored
And/yeah . . . I'm jealous
I'm an idiot, but in addition to 996 TT, I'd say US Military Vehicles; take your pick and wait 5 years. (I'm a M715 guy)
Incidentally, my wife bought a first gen 4runner this spring; prices are already climbing above my threshold for that sort of thing, if that means anything.

Never mind the 'Enzo-era' stuff . . .
. . . has anybody noticed the pricing of any 3-pedal Ferrari, lately?
Was doing some digging-around a few months back. Found out that the absolute very last stick-shift Ferrari was a RHD 599 sold in England. Now, 599s are boats, but/still, thought that I'd look for some, see what's what outta 'curiosity' --- aaaaaaaand? . . .
. . . there aren't any --- least not on the planet I live on, anyway
Sure-sure --- the 'F1' (= paddle-shift) cars are falling out of trees --- = ~$150-200k . . .

Nooooooooooooot the stick shift cars . . .
http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/...b/1812556.html
. . . . . $600k
Yeah-yeah, I know, I know . . .
. . . asking's not the same as getting --- but still . . .
As for RoI? --- well . . .
. . . I'd be real curious to hear how this Guy's getting along with his 550 (6-speed) . . .

It used to be, we all discussed how we liked to drive these old cars...seems to me, this and these cars ar a decent balance between 'old enough' 'mechanical' and 'priced right'
Although this one will likely go for big bucks, lots of early m635's and later m6's at reasonable prices

looking for 1972 911t motor XR584, S/N 6121622
As seen @Fantasy Junction . . .
F1/paddle-shift . . .
http://www.fantasyjunction.com/cars/...%2012-Cylinder
3k miles = $165k
. . . vs 6-speed . . .
http://www.fantasyjunction.com/cars/...%2012-Cylinder
28k miles = $285k
I'd still stick w/ the 550 . . . = not OBD II . . . . . . . . jus' sayin'
.
I was looking at a nice early Ford Bronco the other day they wanted $200k - likely a lot of upside on these - find a good one for $100k and in a few years likely a $500K auction car - right ?
