Hi Tony,

I took Friday off to drive first to Basel and on to Ladenburg where the automobilia auction took place the week before. Then drove back down to Stuttgart for the museum visits in the late afternoon, and stayed overnight in Stuttgart.

The Straehle swap meet was early Saturday morning and only 30 minutes away, so a short trip but very Porsche intensive: a great way to prepare for the long winter months....

The psychedelic 917 silk scarf is a masterpiece! I have 3 of it in 3 different colours combination. But there are, at least, two more: the blue and green scarf in Schorndorf was for sale at Euro 300.
Carl if You can't get the name of seller I will help You asking to a friend who knows him for sure.

Thomas, Porsche exhibition in Basel seems interesting, and I've never seen before the 356 tin model in the showcase, on the right. Any info on it????

The scarf was offered by a dealer from Austria. I bought some catalogues from them. Do not know their name though. It was next to the Mr. Eisner-Eissenstein's stand. Hope this helps.

Thanks guys! I'm going to check with Marco and see what turns up.

I have 2 of them in different colors and would like to do a 60" x 60" framing of 4 different colored 917 scarves. So far I'm halfway there.

Apparently an exhibition catalogue has been printed and hopefully some of the memorabilia has been recorded there.

It is my understanding that the memorabilia exhibited is part of Marinello's private collection (again!), so he can probably provide you with more information on the piece you're interested in.
