    Lightbulb Regional Forums...

    Regional Forums…

Lots of you have been asking about a forum for your own national region.
The Registry will now implement this on our new message board.
The Regional Forums will be added as a block to our board’s front page.

All you need is a loose consensus of Registry members in your general area, a contact person, and hopefully someone who is willing to report the regional info
on the message board and back to John Dilger for your own column in the ESSES.

We already have submissions from New York, New Jersey, and Texas!!!

As you see we need to fill in a lot more to make this work….
However we will put up a forum as the needed info comes in.

We’ll try to put up this new block of regional forums between the two Holidays

    International forums can come next………

PLEASE get in touch with our Regional Director Michael Hammond as soon as you get your agreed info together.

On a related note, since the 'changeover' very few members now have their location displayed in their profiles - can this information be (easily) transferred from the old database ?

    Andy and all,

I think all contributors should post a location in thier signature, at lest in general, but that's just me.....

Unfortunitly 'Locations' didn't make it over with the new changes...
Until Jeremy finds the glitch PLEASE:

Go to 'View Profile' then 'About Me' and please re-enter your location....

........... back to the Regional Forums

I would love to help out getting our regional forum started here in Washington. I already emailed Michael.

    Chuck,

I tried to update my "about me" stuff, but was thwarted by "the system". When I click on "edit your about me" (or whatever it said), I'm simply taken back to the page that says "View you about me page as it's seen by others" - a circuitous relationship there, perhaps?

Then it could just be me. A fix of the code, or some instructions would be appreciated.

    thanks

How dim of me! Never dawned on me that only the pencil would give me access to the edit. I'm used to being able to play with big crayons and the thought of precision wasn't there.

    Thanks!

    Lightbulb

    OK guys,

As promised, we will soon be adding Regional Forums to our message board.

Soon there should be a top 'tab' reading Regions, hitting that will get you directly to the new Regional Forums that will have a 'block' of there own under the four forum blocks we already have..... similar to the R Gruppe and Alfa BB.

    We are starting with:
    New Jersey
    New York

    and Texas

Hopefully we will be adding many more to these in the future........

Again, if you have any questions about starting a region please get in touch with our Regions Director Michael S. Hammond at:
    hammondms@earthlink.net (310) 322-7701

Michael will be out of town between Weds. the 22nd and the 5th of Jan.
