I know why you also like the Tangerine car, it has black headlight rings. First time I remember seeing a street car from a period photo with those black headlight rings.

You are right about those black rings....I started to mention it in my post, but decided to let the picture speak for itself. I just love to see them in black, especially on those 3 colors or white...ok if you have a red C2, it looks neat too.

I spoke with Steve Beizer earlier this year about his awesome Sepia hot-rod. Sadly that car was sold and crashed in the '70's. Steve told me that he built and even more powerful green 911 in '73. I think he said it was slide-valved.

Steve lived in Atlanta and had been good friends with Mark Donahue. When Mark crashed at Road Atlanta and broke his leg, he stayed with Steve to recuperate for a while.

Sadly Steve passed away earlier this year. He had been fighting pancreatic cancer. The last time we talked, he was trying to dig up his old photos so that he could share them with me. Would have liked to have gotten to know him better. He had some great stories.

I have not seen that shot of LB-ZT 111 before. Everything looks 'right.'

Always loved this dealership picture... the posters, signage, floor, lighting, everything! The warmth inside the dealer contrasts so well with how cold, damp and miserable it seems outside.
