Just a thought, Moito have you thought of making the exhaust in stainless for those that want to use them? Thanks for all the knowledge on this post!

I've restored my webasto. My paint supplier told me that the raw materials for the recipe of RVI Rouge chassis 130 are no longer available. The successor is RVI 1733 rouge chassis enduro. I ordered a spray can and sprayed my webasto with this paint and it looks good.
Now I can mount it together with the exhaust bought from Franz.

Today I also picked up the Norma clamps from the galvanizer. On my car several clamps were replaced by after market ones of different make. Now I can replace them all.

I don't know, I'm from the Netherlands. I met a guy who is working in the car parts business and I gave him a list with the quantities and sizes I needed and some weeks later I got them.
Try Norma usa and ask for a reseller. https://www.normagroup.com/norma/en/contact/

My unit in the process of being installed, all decals and ink stamps redone. Biggest issue is that the cloth fuel line is NLA in the original large OD. I made the small lines for the Solex cars but not sure if I want to go as far to also make these. This will be my wife's summer driver

Placed here rather than a new thread...

An observation: Most images of restored heaters show finishes that are too glossy (718RSK's looks about right). The original paint is semi-gloss, closer to satin. And the colors are too red, it's actually closer to the manifold heater valve color which nearly everyone agrees can be approximated with red oxide primer and a satin top coat. Having just today refinished the metal on mine the inside surfaces EXACTLY matched red oxide. Photos to come.

And questions: If you've restored your early 911 and also the gas heater to perfection, how many of you use it? How many simply installed it for appearance, but disconnected? How many left the smuggler's box empty, Kardex be damned?

I'm curious because like most, my car came with one. Living in Florida, it will never see service here... and when we've driven the car in icy conditions (Northern California, Washington State, British Columbia), the manifold heat was more than toasty. Why Webasto units were included in the majority of deliveries baffles me.
