One question: what is the source of the paint chips you are using?

    Thanks!
the chip is STANDOX comercial vehicles chassis colour(zu deutsch LKW). RVI= Renault Véhicules Industriels ( rouge chassis 130 from 1987)
the standox thing already has some matting agent in the recipe and fits almost perfect.

found an other chip berliet (former french truck company swallowed by citroen and now also RVI) rouge chassis 3722.it is a bit to blue but i think if you mix both colours 50/50 this will be it.

have to restore a webasto soon and i will try this.

    the two glow/spark plug versions
    early version Beru 129G(short)
    latter version Beru GZE12(long)

the longer/later version is the reason why porsche had to change the smugglers box lid.(will post pics of the lid versions asap)

when i saw the pics of your car i immediately understood why there was a bit of the body dangling on the fragments of the webasto you sent me.

swb flapper boxes are painted slightly different to the webasto units.

and you still missing the blue quality control stamping and the other ones pictured....got my stamps today

    ....
did a few webasto restorations in the last months.
3 of them restored to fully working condition.
set up a test stand(very rudimental)
and continued sourcing / reproducing parts for this units.
