    No, this was something special for the 1969 metallic paints. "77-94-0503" is common to them all, and is the clear coat portion. I wish we had the full VIN so that the Kardex would reveal the paint color.

    Just a thought. Only one digit is missing. Look at all 10 variations and see if you find the info being sought?

    That is the plan Peter; something I have done in the past. The risk is that the special codes were often done in batches due to the cost of cleaning the equipment between colors. That means there could be several together and no way of knowing which one it was.
