Signal Yellow 73E at RM Auction

This is a supposedly 47k mile original car that Bill Jacobs (Chicago area BMW dealer and avid car collector) acquired in 2007. Does anyone know who he acquired it from? History? It has sport seats with Pepita inserts. It is being auctioned off at RM this w/e. I don't seem to remember seeing it discussed here, so maybe it went under the radar. PM me if you know anything. Thanks.

With the buyer's pound of flesh, er... I mean premium, this really nice car sold for $85,250 yesterday.

Was the best early 911 in Scottsdale - and the nearest to fair market / well bought.

Upon close examination of the 1973 E at the RM auction it was obvious to me that the quarter panels had been painted, albeit very well done. I guess you can't believe anyone who has something to sell.

I think they got all the money they coud for that E. It had a lot of owners and yes it had only 50,000.00 miles on it but 50,000.00 is not like 5,000.00 miles. They did well on the sale which I have no problem with. Happy buyer happy seller. Great color.
