    1972 Viper 911S W/ RS fender extensions

This is a 1972 911S with RS fender extensions, full leather interior to samle (per COA) and some other bits such as adjustable sway bars, front strut brace and 7 and 8 inch wheels. All of these were on the car originally as reported to a previous owner by Jack Cook (PCNA exec.) the original owner. The COA does not include some of these options and had one Item mentioning wheel arches or moldings. I asked Kristen at the Porsche COA office about this and she did not have an exact answer. The COA also listed a black headliner which when questioned was revised to Becker Radio.
My question is - Is it possible to verify this equipment as being original. The VIN is 9112301096 and the eingine number is 6321553.
    Thanks - Jim

    Jim,

    Seems like very nice car........

Some of the items you mention usually came a bit later in time.......

I think you might have some answers pretty close at hand...

    - First, take off your wheels and please take some pictures of your adjustable sway bars and strut brace, we should be able to tell you if they are factory.

    - Next check the date stamps of the wheels you just took off and see what they say...

The fenders can be a later discussion..........

    Cheers,
    Chuck

I would be skeptical. Have the owner pop a rear wheel off and take pictures of the inner side of the rear flares. That could give someone a clue. Also, check the date stamps on all the wheels, they should match up.
    Thanks,

    Jim,

Could you also take a photo of the welded strut brace support? I believe the ones done at the Factory have a distinctive appearence.

Also I will send you a private message about a Factory contact.

Cool car, great color. I have never seen tan armrests on the door. Did someone add those?

12/72 date stamp on a 1972 car. Hmmmmmm that wheel should be on a 1973 right? Possibly too early for a 1972.
    Thanks,

It is a nice looking car. I would probably take the seats out and save them for resale and put in some nice replica's for spirited driving. Good luck with it.

Nice car. I don't think production installed sways or strut. Looks like after delivery dealer (or race dept) installed RS update by the date on the wheel done in 73? IMHO
