Those are factory RSR swaybars,.....you'll need to measure the diameter to know which size they are.
The front strut brace is an early Alan Johnson Racing one.

I bought a similar car from another board member a few years ago ... like Harvey's idea, the original owner wanted a 2.7 Carrera RS in '73 but couldn't legally import one so he bought a new 1973 2.4E (don't know why he didn't start with an 'S') & got the Dealer to order original Factory RS flares, 7 & 8" Fuchs, 2.7RS barrels & pistons/injection system, RS Touring front & rear bumpers, etc & had the car converted by the Dealer to RS Touring spec.
The car was virtually identical in every respect to an M472 RS - apart from the VIN.
It was sufficiently authentic that Russell Edmonds (Edmond Harris) bought it on behalf of Dirk Sadowski of PS Automobile in Germany.

I have posted this before but there is a 72 S in Australia - 911 230 1179 that has had similar treatment. It was ordered by Pat Burke, one of the major sponsors of Porsche racing in Australia at the time as a 1972S.
However when it arrived, and before it was delivered it went to the official Porsche dealer in Sydney for a makeover.
as the letter below states, the makeover included a 2.8 engine, widened guards (unclear if real RS or not) and lots of other goodies to add to the already impressive specifications
as the photo shows the car is still in great condition today and given its combination of luxury items (electric windows etc) and sports purpose (roll bar, LSD, 2.8, wheels, suspension mods) it is almost a M472+ on a 72 shell

Probably wanted to save the money. The E has all of the stuff you would keep in the conversion.

15 fin = 2.4
11 fin = 2.7
Don't know why they don't count the bottom bump...
Maybe just a strong 2.4..

Harvey - Thanks for the clarificaiton.
I have another question regarding an under dash switch. It is not connected to anything at this point except a power feed from the light switch and a ground. It is located next to the front trunk opener. It has two positions and a momentary pull. The harness apears to be factory. Any ideas? Thanks - Jim
Those cylinders are Birals and thats what I remember Mike telling me it had.

Raj - That could make sense - it has a power antenna - the original radio is gone and the one that has replaced it, is hooked up to the antenna.
Steve - also thanks - it looks like it is a 2.4 and the MFI pump is a 013.
Thanks - Jim
