    Rebirth of my 69S

I purchased this car on March 27, 2009. At first I reluctant to buy this car when my porsche mechanic offered the car to me. After I started doing a research about the early porsche, I decided to go with this car even the car was modified to be a 993 Turbo. I am sure I will have a very big challenge to bring the car back to her life.

I find it absolutely amazing that a 1969 911S can become a 1997 993 Turbo with only a simple change of bolt on body panels.

After I brought the car home, the car was totally parked for almost 4 months until July 15, 2009. I started tearing car apart to monitor what restoration's direction should I go?

From my quick inspection, here are the parts that need to be changed
    1) F+R Bumper
    2) F+R Fender
    3) Rear Deck Lid
    4) Front Hood
    5) Rear center panel

Finally around November 2009, I successfully find all the above part I needed

Love this story. Is the original engine hidden under that CIS airbox? I see the red shroud!

While I was waiting for the part, I asked my body man to find a F+R fender that could be found local and put on the car to see the shape of the car. I believed that they aren't a correct part for the car. So I just let my body man re-done the fender by borrowing my friend car which is 1969 as a mold.

Didn't the 3.0SC also have a red shroud? Exhaust doesn't look much of a 69 IMO.

Windscreen wipers are also standard 993 (look at the litte distance in between the 2 wipers.)
