    Looking for Feedback on 1989 911 C4

I'm interested in purchasing a 1989 911 C4 June Production and wanted any opinions about the car? Personal experiences with the performance and maintenance?

    Thank you.

    Hi Mark,

This section is reserved for early 911 questions and comments, but there quite a few of us who own 964 models. The place you really need to check out is the Rennlist 964 forum for questions on you C4.

There is also a long thread in another section that features many of our 964s. Check it out. Be sure to post up a few photos of you C4 on this thread. Would love to see your car.

    Hi Mark,

Also there is a very good book that you might want to consider to learn indept knowledge about the 964 models. It it 'Porsche 911: Enthusiast's Companion, Carrera 2, Carrera4 and Turbo 1989-1994' by Adrian Streather.

Do you have a specific need or desire to own a C4 over a C2 model? The reason I ask is the C4 model is more complex and will be more expensive to fix if there is a problem with the AWD system. The driving experience is noticeability different between the 2 models also.

Thank you for the info. I don't have a specific reason or desire to own a c4 over c2. I saw a car for sale that I like which happens to be a c4. Heard from several people that the 964 was a high maintenance car. I have a 993 95 but really like the 964 look.

Most of the feedback I have received about this 89-92 models c2 or c4 has been the car has major problems, but are great cars to drive. The one I want to purchase has low miles and looks great. There was a 90 that just sold for $45,000 with 1,750 miles. Red one.
