    Take a look at this original. Note that the weight data is part of the unstamped plate. Then, note overall that the new stamped numerals are stamped much deeper in the plate. Compare how "crisp" the numerals are in the VIN on the original.

    Is it possible the owner just wanted everything updated to look new? or is there a way to create a fictional plate meaning that the car is not a true S car? I am sure the chassis # and motor/engine block must have matching numbers as well as (if not replaced)? Is there a pic of these #s?
