    Seinfeld Garage

I'm in NYC for a few days. If anyone can PM me the address for the subject, I can at least go by and see if it's open.

Stumbled onto some of his collection back in 2000 at the Santa Monica Airport. We brought a lot of planes to the then Cutter Aviation for service and one of the hangars was open in the same row. It was 911's galore! I was surprised to hear how few hangars there had planes in them, instead they had cars in them. I poked my head in and talked up the mechanic on duty. Really cool guy. Met up with several other mechanics at the '09 Concours in Monterey, looking after his 908 and 917 on display. They were very friendly and answered a lot of questions. They also gave some advise for my little restoration project. Never met Jerry, but if you get an opportunity to get a tour, take it.

I too doubt if he ever opens his garage for a tour.
    So good luck with that.....

He bought one of my Speedsters, 84114, a few years ago. He is very unassuming, genuinely loves the cars, and is a really nice guy!

Used to haul the kids to the pool in 356/1500RS Carrera Speedster 80820. Wife would leave it in the shopping center parking lot -- now in the Porsche Factory Museum.

Well, I made my way to 138 West 83rd on Thursday. There had been thunder showers but the westher had cleared. I had high hopes upon my approach to the address. Alas, no indication of any Porsche spotting was to be had. I took a few pictures and even tried ringing the buzzer (there wasn't one) and knocking on the door. Guess I'll have to come up with Plan B.
