It's nobody's business what cars I own. I will tell you one thing though, they're air cooled and I beat 'em like they owe me money.

Ok, so that begs these questions; When did you sell? And for how much? Of course its not any of my d+++ busi... But capitolism is capitolism. However, pigs get slaughtered

First of all I am not complaining. Just pointing it out should someone find this car for sale on this web site. Believe me I am capitalist number 1. Just did not expect the buyer to flip it. It has been months not years but they can do what ever they want. I let it go for cheap or so I thought but after marketing it for a yr. it was sold for market. I advertised here, the Bird and DDK so it has some exposure. I think a 20k premium without the sport seats is suprising based on what I see the market to be but that is my opinion of the market obviously not the sellers. I had hoped I could sell it for 60k based on some of the 100k S cars for sale. But those 100k early S's may not be selling for any where near those prices.

There's a big difference between asking and getting.
I believe in a reasonable return on investment. 50% is simply not reasonable, nor realistic. However as others have pointed out perceived value can be far from conceived value.
I do have some concerns with the inventory of the early cars falling into dealers hands and the market becoming contrived. Looks like a nice example. It would look even nicer with the sporty's.

I wonder if the COA mentioned the sport seats or sporto ... or if the told the lady down at the office what options to write on the COA.

IMHO you sold the car. Be happy . It should not matter if the buyer keeps it for six weeks or six years or parts it out or resells it, or decides to get burried in it as his coffin. It is done. You have your money. If the next guy wants to risk his dough for a profit that is his deal. Life is too short for sour grapes and if he makes a profit good for him. Just my opinion but there is so much concern about money and reselling.
