72...it's time to start a thread

I've only has the car for a couple of months so far, but I can't stop doing things to it. btw...this is my first early 911. As I get things done, I'll post some pics of the progress. So, feel free to stop me from doing something stupid. Again... haha!

As you all know, I have a list of "to do" items. That list just keeps getting bigger and bigger, but I am making some progress on it. D'oh!

The engine in it is a 1974 2.7. Yesterday, I put some new 906 rain hats (thanks Ramon) and Cohline fuel hoses (thanks Brad) on the carbs. As y'all can see, I've met several folks on this site! I also had the stock trumpets cleaned up at the metal polisher. Ahhhh, now to finish this one and on to the next project. I foresee that today, I'll be cutting down the new grille badge bolts! DA move there

    Gregbus,
The rainhats look great and the overall appearance of your engine/compartment is clean, simple & tidy. Very nice.

Very nice, my only suggestion is to use some Norma clamps the ones you have will tear up that nice fuel line.

Here's what I've been up to with the 72. The Norma clamps are on parts, but I'm thinking the PMO fuel logs are a great idea! I also added in a fuse panel cover. You guys can tell me if it looks right in there, but I like being lazy and not painting. The mirror has been changed to one I got from TRE, but I'll still keep the original one. I just wanted to actually see out of one for a change. Well, that stuff and pulling out the tail light housings to get them powder coated and converted to LED bulbs.

With the mesh screens you also need some screens to cover the float vent tubes and the jets.
