Thread: Jeff Zwart preparing for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb!

Jeff Zwart preparing for the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb!

I just got back from a reception held for Jeff Zwart at Porsche of Colorado Springs. It was a three hour trek to and from our second home in Vail Valley, Colorado. But it was worth the effort!

I got there early and toured the facility with the new GM (Joe Brenner) who I know well from his previous post at Stevinson in Denver. We met Jeff back in the shop still working on his gt2 RS which he will used (hopefully) to win his class at this weekend's Pikes Peak International Hill Climb!

Jeff is a fellow R Gruppe and a true enthusiast. He told me he has put over 40,000 miles on his Black .1 gt3 RS which he uses as his daily driver! Jeff is the one with a black shirt in the first photo - the other guy is a fan (not me).

Saludos (z356 - Currently in beautiful Colorado!)

    I was there also.
Jeff was very informative. Those GT2's are pretty awesome.
    A fun event.

Jeff is a very cool guy. Seems way too laid back to drive as aggressively as he does. I used to buy photographs from him when I put together the Automotion catalog, then he graduated from stills to video and did a lot of iconic Porsche commercials. Hoping to see another class win from him this year.

Here's a video of Jeff Zwart driving to the event. Great shooting and editing by Will Roegge.

He went 24 seconds faster than the Cup car and set a new record for street cars but the purpose built Hyundai drift car (not street legal) went a couple seconds faster in the 2WD category. I would like to see someone drive from SoCal to the top of Pikes Peak in that.
