    Fiat Jolly . . .

Each one coach-built/modified by Ghia, ~1958? (Apparently, no two are alike.) Originally built to be used as run-abouts by rich yacht-owners in the Mediterranean. (Hey, if you can hang a dinghy off the fan-tail . . . why not stick a Jolly on your poop-deck?) Double the cost of the standard 600. 32 were said to have been used as taxis on Catalina, from '58-'62.

I can just picture the DoT crash-test footage.

I'd read some where that these were getting 'cloned' now, too.

Oh --- and Orange. Of course.

    (Burp.)

    Fiat Multipla.

Not too crusty-looking --- looks un-restored. Window decal is for an Armenian sports association. I like small cars, but this . . . . I dunno. (Suicide doors, suicide bumpers, suicide glass, suicide steering wheel, suicide seat-belts . . .)

Then again --- even Wayne Carini (Chasing Classic Cars) has a weird kinda attraction for these.

Multipla has to be my favorite mini minivan. Would trade a 911 for one in a NY minute.
Great shot of one in the opening 5 minutes of the movie "Master of Disguise": Highly intellectual film staring Dana Carvey.

And speaking of Wayne Carini . . .

    Yep. 'At's a Turner.

When I first saw this, I thought 'You have GOT to be $h!tting me! There's more of these? No, no, NOOO!'

    Then, calmed-down, read the placard . . . owned by none-other-than . . .

(Hey, after all those orange cars --- ya know?)

I thought Wayne'd painted this thing purple?

Oh well --- it's still . . . unforgetable. (And the Last of its Kind. Hopefully.)

    Not one, but TWO Cadillac V-16s . . .

    . . . and a V-12 Lincoln Continental.

Awards were being passed out by this time, so a lot of the crowd (and cars and owners) were up at presentation. (Basically, you're looking at The Losers, here.) I heard Don (What's My Car Worth?) Osborne's voice all --- day --- long.

Nice outing. Food was available at the venue --- $150 a throw got you chow (and wine) with your admission. (What! No happy ending? Uh --- no thanks.) We had some fresh sea-life at the Marina . . . for half that. (Two of us.) Apart from some crispy/toasty neck-flesh and a few comments about inadequate foot-ware (shoulda gone bare-foot) . . . no casualties to report.

    And? No parking tickets, either.
