    Best tire size for a 73 with 7s ??

I am ready to install some 7s on all four corners of my standard body 73. I would like to put a "traditional" looking tire the same size all the way around. I am thinking Pirelli or Michelin. I am not looking to lower the car or use a low profile tire. Has anyone done this? Thanks guys.

7's are going to be tight on the front, are these 15's or 16's. I'm running re-11s on 6x16 front and 7x16 rear. With the new sticky compounds you really don't need wider tires than that, and I've got a 2.7 RS spec motor.

They are 15s which came on the RS so I am not worried about the front as much as the rear. Thanks.

I have 205/55 BFG's on my 7x15's (front). No issues.

I have 205/60s on my rear with a little sexy Negative camber on 17s...

Don, I have Bridgestone RE9's on my 72s with 7" rims, 205/60-15. The fit, especially in the rear, is VERY tight. The choice for 15" tires gets smaller every year.

Tom, those are perfect. I have 7's on the rear and 6's up front, freshly redone by Harvey; will those 185/70's work on the 6's?

Don this is a 7R on a SWB, the tire is a Goodyear Eagle GT 195 X 65. I also have a set on my 72. I like the look of the tire size and the tread pattern, and they are V-rated, hard to find in a 15 anymore.

That's the OEM size called out in my manual.

    The XZX's are also properly speed-rated for 150 MPH . . .

One more thing. $400 a corner.

    And don't forget the spare.
