    Spencer-

I agree that the picture in the referenced thread is better than the one in post #27. I think a lot of the difference is due to overcast vs. sunlit conditions. The sunny picture seems to convey the character of the color better, so I'll swap them out. Thanks for the tip!

Note that the COA posted in the thread you reference states, under the options list, that the '69 was painted a special order color. I think this explains how Golden Green got on a '69. Proabably not many '69s were that color.

    Question Side Scripts?

Scott -- great thread! It seems that the thread mandate might include side script colors as found on the RS and RSR cars produced in the first series of 911's. I think the factory had a side script option for other 911's -- what were the choices here as well? I am pretty sure that all the RSR's were Grand Prix White, but I've seen RS's in all colors of the rainbow. In cataloging this, the factory wheel colors should be acknowledged -- as far as I know, the wheel colors should be matched to the script colors (except on RSR's which got no color). I only mention this because these are exterior options just as the paint is . . .

Tell us more about Sambesi. For 911s I assume that it was paint to sample only, correct? Was it a 914 color?

I did not see Oslo Blue in the blue section, so forgive me if it was posted and I just missed it. But I think this is Oslo Blue. I do not know whose car it is. Pic was from the Morro Bay 356 North Meets South Meets R Gruppe event 2013.

Apparently it was also a 356 color?

I recently looked into Oslo Blue as the result of advice from raj on a post related to my 67S.
Willhoit has a section of their website dedicated to 356 colors and had the 4" x 8" sample I wanted on file.
For a totally reasonable $35 shipping included I had the sample in hand in less than a week.
I would highly recommend contacting Willhoit if you are interested in one of colors they can provide samples of.
It's an economical and accurate way to look at these interesting early Porsche colors.
