Thumbs up Dana Point 356 Concours

The Porsche 356 Club is going to be celebrating the 25th anniversary of
their concours at this years addition of the Dana Point Concours. Held on
July 31st, Porsche's from all over are invited to participate in this biggest
gathering of vintage Porsche 356's, 911's and 912's you may ever see! It's
a show for the 356, so there is no pressure to be judged. Just show up and
    represent!

As in previous years, not only are Porsche 356's parking on the lawn, but
anyone with a Porsche will be allowed to park along side the show cars. $20
gets your Porsche on the lawn and you'll get a goodie bag and special
corral parking with your Porsche brothers and sisters. 911's, 912's, Panamera's
and Porsche's of all shapes and sizes are invited. The event is going to be
held at Lantern Bay Park, 25111 Park Lantern Rd., Dana Point, CA, 92629.

911S Registry and R Gruppe owners, please arrive just before 8 AM at the
park. You will be grouped together in the west park. Please stay with your
cars until moving into to your parking corral at 8:15-8:30 AM. We usually
have 50-70 of you folks show up and it's a blast to represent. Lunch is
    available or bring a picnic!

Be there and be prepared with your $20 bill and be sure to enjoy this
    great day!

If there are any questions, please call or email Jeff Trask at

For those who wish to arrive in a group, we will be maeeting at the same ol' spot as in previous years, McDonalds on PCH, just north of the entrance into the harbor...Plan on leaving the parking lot about 8ish

Anyone else going to the cocktail party Saturday night? Staying at the Marriott Saturday night?

    Porsches at The Point

    ent to the 356 Club's Dana Point show . . .

Heck of a time finding the place. Yeah, yeah --- been there before --- once, I think --- but it's been a while. And when I mapped the address . . . wasn't exactly clear just where the place was. Did manage to drive by it, though. Twice. Saw some Porsches running around --- had to be just skads of 'em here, somewhere, right? (Then again --- it had rained, so . . . .) Finally did see the venue. In my rear-view. Jeez. Don't rally with me.

Anyway . . . mostly 356s. Lots. And a ton o' open cars. (Usually a shy tribe.) And --- as their reward? . . . it rained. Of course.

    1) Heading south, pick-up the car. Uh-oh. 'Just a wee squall, mere spritz . . .'

    2) HA! See? Not a drop on us

3), 4), and 5) Him neither. And look! ---- everything's even opened WAY up. That's confidence. (And NOT orange.)

    More Porsches at The Point

Drizzled a bit on the way there, nothing major, then . . . things sorta cleared.

    Then they sorta un-cleared.

    Then . . . . . . . it rained
    In July
    In Kleptofornia!

(And don't look now --- but looks like a squadron of Yorkshires are dive-bombing the Fairgrounds.)

    1) Lady (Co-pilot) Under a Tree

    2) Tents are for pu$$ies. Me? I like my privacy. Besides. Happiness is a moist Co-pilot

    3) Why I wax. And I'm counting this as the 4th bath since John Esposito etc . . . .

    4) Mmmm . . . moisture. Can't ya just hear those tin-worms a-chewin'? And who's the Comedian with the surfboard?

    5) Lots of Ladies Under a Tent.
