7/23/11 Ed Mayo Porsche Parade Send Off at Mayo Performance

Just a quick note to show he made it to Savannah with little drama, according to him. You Texas folks are very lucky to have a guy like Ed in your area. Isn't it great when someone's online image lives up in person? We spoke for a while, what a pleasure--we covered my car (he has a great memory of our site), MFI tuning, engine compartment wiring, all the while with people walking up to him firing away other questions.

Here are a few pics. No I wasn't stalking him as I didn't know what he looked like until I saw him duck into his car for something--intro opp! Looking through pics last night, I found a few of him I had unknowingly taken earlier in the day.

Depends on your perspective I guess, but he had the unenviable position of being in jeans, down on the ground in the wet grass, 95% humidity, judging the engines, as the coastal Georgia sun crept higher in the sky during a record heat wave. The black RS in the pic was beautiful (more on that car later).

I just love the shot of the back of the RS. One Judge is throwing a towel down on the ground so he can get down to look at the car and the other judge is already kneeling on a towel.....Our guy is already kneeling in the grass (sans towel) with mud on his shoes....My hero!
