    Singer in the WSJ

In todays Wall Street Journal, in the Personal Journal section, there's an article titled "Dream Cars You Coveted in High School, but Brand New ".

It's a typical general article written for the unindoctrinated, and meanders into the custom exotic car field, kit Cobras, etc. but it does start out talking about Rob Dickinson and his Singers.

I'm delighted to see that his cars and efforts are getting some recognition in the mainstream print media.

" slavish adherence to originality wasn't for me, because the car wasn't as good as it could be."
Rob Dickinson's response when asked what motivated him to build Singers

I saw that.... good piece. They gave Singer the premier part and the slide show had most of the pics focused on the Singer. Nice to see the publicity for what is a really interesting car!

Something to make you feel good about the real deal :)

Anyone know of this outfit in LA? Big bucks for replica's and updates.

I love the new Singers, but they unobtainium for me. I do find it interesting how much positive press he has generated considering he has only produced a small handfull of cars. Articles like this in the Wall Street and in Autoweek a few weeks ago, should fill his order book for a while. Hopefully I'll get to see one in the metal one day.

Last time that I spoke with Rob, a magazine did a article and right after, his site had a zillion hits. All of a sudden the rest of the world is noticing his efforts. He has multiple articles coming out in publications that originally snubed him.
    More to come from Singer..

I also saw an article on Singer in this month's "Guitar Aficionado" magazine. Yes, lots of press. The knock on effect is that it brings these classic 911s into the mainstream awareness which can be construed as both good or bad depending on how you look at it.

I notices all these articles recently, including WSJ and Autoweek. Most likely they hired a PR firm. Smart move.
