TR Research HELP - Embakasi & Nakuru circuits Kenya etc...

Looking for help with research on the history of my car as detailed in the thread:

    http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...Of-Africa-quot

I was delighted to receive an email a couple of weeks ago from someone who has asked a contact in Kenya to try and do some research on the car, however, even their initial feedback was great in that it confirmed knowledge of the first owner Peter Sargentson and confirmed that the car competed at the Nairobi (Embakasi) circuit....

    http://www.etracksonline.co.uk/Afric.../embakasi.html

...and also believed to have raced at the Nakuru circuit...

    http://www.etracksonline.co.uk/Africa/Kenya/nakuru.html

...if anyone has any information/pictures of events at these circuits, particularly between mid '68 and the early '70's then I would be delighted to hear.

They also think that the East African Porsche agent Gordon C. R. Crow, who ordered the car from the factory, operated from the petrol station in Langata which is now run by rally driver Ian Duncan.

Again if anyone can provide any further information on any of the above I would be very grateful.
    Tim

Do a search on the Autosport Bulletin Board under the Nostalgia Thread I'm sure I have seen some Africa threads there before.

    Thanks again.

I just stumbled across this forum and my Dad was Peter Sargeantson, the first owner of the Porsche. Unfortunately my father passed away a few years ago, but my Mum still recalls with great pleasure going to the factory to pick it up and then drive back to Kenya. If you are interested I could get the full story from my Mum and I am sure we have photos.

After following Tim's documentation of the car for so long, it was great to read that you two had connected with each other. Phil, I'm sure I speak for everyone who has followed the story of this car when saying I really hope you or your Mom have period photos of your Dad driving the car, and that you are willing to share them with us.

    Congrats, Tim!
