Randy, really looking forward to Treffen this year...biggest ever, #15. You will find the right light, I am sure.
Darren, keep thinking about those ST flares on your 72 project...in that year STs were the 'hot rods'.
Serge, cleaned out the PM box.

I always see things I need to address when I look at these pics....

    Off to Cambria...!

After taking 6-7 hours to do the finishing touches that I thought would be done in 2-3 hours, the car is loaded and ready to make the trip to the R Gruppe gathering. I will be leaving Thursday morning at '0 Dark Thirty', but it should be an enjoyable trip as I will have my friend Bill Wegeng traveling with me. Bill has been very helpful at certain times with this project...he had a successful Porsche Shop in Illinois for more than 25 years and has seen just about everything a guy could imagine go bad on a 911. I only saw about half of those on this project...

Great fun at the R Gruppe gathering this year in Cambria. The weather was perfect, more than 130 cars showed up, reportedly 187 folks at the Sat. dinner. Here are a couple of pics of what happens in the parking lot of every event...standing around talking with enthusiastic guys about their cars. Rich Sutliffe and I have been talking about having our Light Yellow cars next to each other at Treffen for several years. (I have been planning to do a LY ST for about 10 years.) Rich has owned his 73 S for 30 years, and raced it for many of those years. It has wide flares on the rear...put on back in the day to allow larger tires..form following function. Rich and Chuck Miller were ogling the LY ST and 73 S on Friday afternoon.
