It is! The other day, I typed in sepia and was very surprised to see that it was one of the top colors for the day. Laughed out loud! If you typed in sepia, thank you! Brown Porsches are not that popular.

Met up with Candyce this morning in the Chicago area for a Cars & Coffee in between raindrops. Also Duane brought his '70 911S in tangerine he bought from LiveFromNY, beautiful car.

Candyce, it was a pleasure meeting you this morning and seeing your preservation class awarding winning Sepia in person. Thanks for sharing some history and the photo book with me.

On Sunday, it was great to meet Duane and see his very nice car and catch up with Mike. Duane is very pleased with the car. I loved the seats.

Very nicely, Duane told me that Frank Beck does not like sepia brown. I laughed and then told the story of how I met Frank at RA.

    So much fun!

Good Things Come From a Little Oil Leak

The o-ring for the oil console was the cause of the oil leak.
The electrical harness was cleaned and retaped.
    The female tail light
receptacle was not installed correctly, probably at the factory and was reinstalled.
It was very interesting to look at that and see how it differed from the left one.

To do that, the right rear tail light assembly had to be removed.
Larry Marzano discovered the light bulbs and sockets were corroded.
All four were cleaned and lubricated.

I think the lights are brighter!

I learned all about the oil console, the tail light receptacle, and the tail light assembly.

Thank you, Larry, for the great, detailed explanation!

As the snow falls and our cars have been put away we can remember the events attended this year and new friends we have. I had the pleasure of sharing the spotlight next to Candyce's Sepia 73S @ Zuffengruppe Two this summer where over 150 air-cooled Porsches gathered in Twin Lakes, WI.
